Generous Garden Project! PLUS Composting UPDATES!!

Hey Greenbelt!

I hope that you all had a terrific FALL BREAK and came back to campus well rested and ready for the second half of the semester!

I wanted to let you all know that there is an awesome volunteer opportunity for October 29, 2011 from 8am-12pm. It is a volunteer opportunity with Generous Garden Project. The Generous Garden Project is a non-profit garden that directly grows food for those who are hungry in Greenville.  It is a very cool garden with a great mission that would benefit from extra volunteers.

They usually work in the garden from 8am-12pm and provide FREE lunch afterwards, so please let me know if you are interested in helping out and I'll get in contact with the director to let him know how many people are coming!

Also, keep me updated on who is interested in PLANT TREES FOR GREENVILLE! (dates below)

November 5, Tree Planting, Fine Arts Center, 102 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609 - 9:00 am - Noon   Volunteers Needed!
November 10, Tree Planting, Christ Church Episcopal, Greenville, SC
November 12, Tree Planting Reforestation Project, Del Norte

And, as you all may know, the COMPOSTING bins are cleaned and new, healthy compost has been added, so go on and have some HAPPY COMPOSTING MOMENTS! Oh and, if you see Bruce (or send him an e-mail) thank him for all his help with our composting bins!

Thanks!

Peace,
J.
