Month of November: Meaningful Interpersonal Relationships

Meaningful Interpersonal Relationships

The most basic and powerful way to connect to another person is to listen. Just listen. Perhaps the most important thing we ever give each other is our attention…”
- Rachel Naomi Remen

This month is all about meaningful interpersonal relationships! And, let’s face it, it’s pretty darn important because not only are we surrounded by people daily wherever we go and in whatever we do but in college, we live with them too!

So, take this month to truly focus on strengthening your relationships with friends and family, fellow Furman students, your roommates, your Greenbelt Community AND taking time just for you!

Relationships tend to follow the succession of:

1. Acquaintance  2. Buildup;  3. Continuation;  4.  Deterioration; and 5. Termination,

But your relationships may not always reach every step throughout the life of the relationship. Relationships of every kind take TIME, ENERGY and a little LOVE and it’s important to keep a balance between the time you devote to your relationships and the time for yourself so that you can truly be happy in every moment.
